About

Red Dragonfly Press, a not-for-profit literary organization founded in the 1990s, publishes contemporary poetry and poetry in translation.

The poet Thomas McGrath (1916 – 1990) spoke of the “lost poets” of his generation, poets such as Don Gordon, Naomi Replansky, and Bert Meyers; Red Dragonfly Press began in an effort to provide a haven for the next generation of lost or overlooked poets, publishing many former students of McGrath, including Dale Jacobson, Robert Edwards, Sid Gershgoren, and Lyle Daggett. The press has broadened its scope over the last decade to include the work of many other exemplary poets, expanding and strengthening themes that are rural, environmental, and communal.
